While sliding the bolt back after cleaning, it slid all the way in & clicked before I could re-install the lever. Now it won't slide out. The cleaning rod won't budge it. There must be some sort of bolt release but no mention of one in the owners manual.
OK you fishing experts. I must, must, must clean all my reels before this season.
How do you clean them? Is there anything special I need to do? Any special cleaner? Any home concoctions?
They aren't expensive reels, but they need some attention.
With the exception of my Saiga my firearms sat under a bed for several years in the same room as a very large saltwater fish system. During this time I had several plumbing issues giving my firearms a few saltwater baths. A few of my rifles were in a soft case that absorbed water others were in...
So my friend ordered a Yugo SKS awhile back that he's getting soon, and I've been giving him cleaning tips, but in all honesty, i don't know how to clean off a rifle stock with cosmoline caked all over it. I honestly can't remember how I cleaned the cosmoline off my last surplus rifle caked in...
YAY!!! I successfully took my Ruger 22/45 MK III apart, cleaned it and put it back together tonight. It was really gritty like I ran it though sand or something. I watched the youtube videos and I have to say I was a bit scared. They really made it out to be a real PITA. I thought I was going...
Mu apologies if this is a dumb question....All the information I read about cleaning guns says to use care in cleaning as to not to damage the tip of the barrel when cleaning from the barrel end with the cleaning rod. Honestly, how freaking hard do you need to hit the barrel with the cleaning...
I'm new to the Ruger 10/22 platform and have acquired a really nice Light Varmint version with a tapered target barrel.
I'm looking for feedback on how best to clean the bore: boresnake, vs. Otis v. cleaning rod? I'm very preferential to cleaning from the breach to the muzzle, but with a...
Is there any additional cleaning with shooting lead rounds? They are lubed with wax from what I see. I usually shoot jacketed or plated but I'm looking to shoot these to reduce the cost a little. Would be using these out of my Sig P227.
i usually clean my guns after shooting them at the range.
no matter how many shots i take.
on your ar's do you take them apart and clean them after every shoot or do you run a bore snake through and leave it at that.
I have been reloading for a while on a single stage press,I clean the pocket every time i reload, I'm getting a progressive and that push out the old primer and seat a new one.
My question is how often do you clean the pocket when reloading on a progressive.
I have been looking for a universal gun cleaning kit that will be good for 12 ga, 30.06, .223/5.56, 9mm and 45 cal.
All of the kits I see are good for everything except the 5.56 or .223.
I have gun cleaning kits all over the place, and would like to have one all purpose kit.
I have 9mm; 357 revolver; 22; 380 handguns and 22, 410 12ga and AR-15 rifles. I would prefer one good comprehensive kit but can't find one.
one site recommends Otis then another bashes it. One site likes Carabella's another bashes it. Hooper doesn't have a big selection. etc etc etc. I...
Anyone know how to clean a Remmington Woodsmaster 750. I mean really clean it properly?? Not just run a cleaning rod through it. I have about 100 rounds through it, and it's just starting to jam. I had 2 FTF tonight. Before tonight, it was perfect. Not a jam, never a hiccup. And to...
