You either have a crappy 1911 or you don't maintain it right

My firearms are meticulous.Mike malakaguy bought a Colt 1911 from me. He always picks up the check and is so grateful.My experience with 1911's is that they need daily maintenance. The only guns to jam on the firing line at the last course are 1911's. xp

There very specific lubrication points on a glock as recommended by glock. I would stick to that. They probably know what they are talking about. I mean I do trust everything I read and see in the Internet, but in this case I would go with glock.

IMO "lithium" based lubricants hold an extreme amount of dirt and carbon also

Myself and two others just ran 1911's at MDTS and they ALL ran flawless so IDK....Sounds like an ID-10T error
