Colonial Arms is long gone. Clearmeadow is still there. It is in a basement of a strip mall on Gardiner's ave in Levittown. The Salvation Army used to be upstairs and I am not sure what is there now. I am a life member and would shoot there frequently but it is out of my way these days.

Is this the strip mall with Evan's Army & Navy?

That is the one. Entry is in the rear down to the basement. Very creepy back there.

Is it open registration or do you need to be sponsored?

Wide open. Cash is king with Edelmans. Just call them and they will be happy to do business with you.

I said creepy, not scary. Park and rides are creepy, too.

Does the skinny old cop/vet with the tats still work there? That guy brought cursing to a whole new level- and this is coming from somebody with 25 years in the construction trade.

Ok, so the zombie range is in the mall near the army-navy store... Guess I'll go over and listen for the sound of gunfire, try to narrow down the location ;)

It's the part of the strip mall that runs parallel to Gardiners, karate place , Evans, and dive shop are at one end, other end point to fire house. There is only one stairwell on the back of the building leading to the basement AFAIK. That should kinda narrow it down for ya.

It really isn't a bad range at all. The thing that bugged was a prohibition on any ammo with magnum in the name. No 44 mag, 357 mag, 22 win mag or anything else with that label.
If I lived closer I would use it.
I used to be friendly with Artie, one of the ROs. Not sure if he is still there. He used to let me shoot shotguns and pistol caliber carbines there.

I do love my magnums, but I can definitely live with being able to shoot .38 and .45 a few blocks from home!

A member told me this threw PM

I called clear meadow they said I need a pistol permit to join.I told them I wanted to shoot .22 rifle they said I still needed a permit. If you bring a guest do they need a permit.

My response

Their trying to force u to get a pistol permit so u use their pistol service. Which I don't recommend since that service is useless and the fact their trying to force u to get a permit and use their service shows what Aholes the owner is. You should post that on the forum that they tried that poop. Also no you don't need a permit to go as a guest but obviously u will only be shooting ur 22 rifle.
