Rep. Kathleen Rice has signed onto H.R.1477, Undetectable Firearms Modernization Act.  Would prohibit the possession of any firearm that is undetectable by airport detection devices.

So, what IS the point?

 

Did you read the text.  It was exactly as I expected.  Some very minor textual changes to an already existing law.

I'm still not understanding it.  I get the death by 1000 cuts approach, but I don't see what you're getting at in this instance.  It's not walking the bill forwards, except that it changes the wording in a way that no longer directly references the CIA as exempted (it still is).

As the firearm is undetectable, just HTF is this law going to be enforced?
