Yes, a sad moment but, given his terminal lung cancer, not an unexpected one.

He was a huge influence on me in my younger years. He turned me onto his influences such as Thomas Sowell and Milton Friedman. Who's intellect are amazing

The only replacement for Rush is possibly Ben Shapiro. But he lacks the warmth and humor that Rush had.

this will create a vacuum in the conservative movement and it will be interesting to see who leads it.

The last time there was a vacuum was back in the 50’s. William Buckley took charge and the old right pretty much died.

It's a sad day. I've listened to him for decades.

A great American has passed on.

The only radio show I could listen to for the 3 straight hours. It seemed everything he waxed about came to pass someway and over time. Really had a gift that will be impossible to replace.

I've been spending part of my lunch hour with Rush since the 1980's. I learned about conservative values and the evils of left wing socialism. I'm not sure where this country would be without this voice of reason fighting against progressive ideology. He will be sorely missed.

I was working in western Louisiana with a guy from Texas back in 1989. My job sent me down to test our equipment on the natural gas compressor stations. He was a service mechanic for the pipeline company. We spent 2 weeks checking the stations down in the swamps. One day while driving between jobs he had the radio on Rushs' show. He said this guy is broadcast from up your way,did you ever listen to him? I said I never heard of him. Needless to say after that I listened for the next 30+ years.
I for one will miss his commentary, his humor, his anecdotes, his take on the insanity in politics.
R.I.P. Rush, God bless you.
