Well, it’s about time the NRA tries help help out NY.. not holding my breath, but hopeful that we may see some type of expanded freedom in my lifetime..

Maybe New Yorkers need to help themselves and vote in politicians who chose not to go out of their way to violate people's 2A rights. If certain states have constitutional carry then there is no reason why NYS can't have constitutional carry. Bottom line, if the gun owners in NY voted 2A issues, we wouldn't have any issues.

Prior to November 3, 2020 I would second that sentiment to the fullest. 

Not any more. 

I have seen with my own eyes what happens to votes. 

They have been doing it in NY for decades, not they taking it to the national stage.

We all thought after Heller with the SCOTUS confirming that the 2A was an individual right, that we would would win the case out of Westchester. In New York, you must show proper cause to carry concealed.
I think our chances are better with 5 conservative judges thanks to President Trump that may take this new case. I think it’s possible that New York might change it to a restrictive concealed carry to avoid the SCOTUS ruling it. NYC will remove the locked and unloaded to a Sportsman type license.

Wasn’t NYSRPA working on a case where someone from one county was given a full carry snd someone in a neighboring county was not? Is this that same case? I remember reading about it in The Bullet about a year or 2 back.

Well said. I remember reading that NRA gave NYSRPA $1 million towards a SAFE ACT lawsuit a couple of years back.

They did not oppose the bump stock ban; in fact, they seemed to counsel Trump to do it. They also have not come out in other states' infringements, leaving a vacuum for GOA and 2nd Amendment Foundation. I think recent events in the NRA and the 2A community to shift Wayne's stance. It is nice to see that the NRA take proactive measures for the 2A community. It is sometimes a good thing to have more than 1 group to represent us.
