Apparently only Democrats have come from behind wins.

Gun politics NY, what are you thoughts on the redistricting that will occur this year in regards to state senate and assembly? Will the independent redistricting be done more fairly? Given that independents now outnumber Republicans in New York, I can only see the GOP losing more state legislature seats in 2022.

We are past the point where the Republicans could gerrymander districts to their advantage even if they had total control over the process.  The "independent" will probably be more fair.  Districts will be pulled down the Hudson towards NYC area.

I’m thinking the same, especially with the population loss that’s occurred upstate. Definitely hoping they’re more fair.
