Before he could sign it both houses of Congress would have to pass it. What are the chances of that?

Congress is definitely the weak link. HOWEVER, this position by TRUMP is 100% proof that he is on the side of the Constitution and its 2nd Amendment. If there are ANY subscribers to this site who would vote for Sleepy Joe they are a self-confessed TROLL.

That is why I am so pissed at Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnel and to some extent Trump himself for not pushing this issue which he told the NRA in 2016 he would do. Ryan and McConnell should have put foward a bill while we had all 3 branches of the Govt. A real lost opportunity.

Pandering to us in 2016, doing it again in 2020. Not buying it, but will still vote for Trump. After all, Harris for President is an unthinkable option

I really cant say pandering but the best chance we had may have been 2017 but all 3 branches we had let us down more so Ryan and mcconnel who didnt bring a bill to vote on.

National Reciprocity won’t happen unless their is a red tidal wave this election and mid term. The SCOTUS may be the best option for 2A rights.

it was impossible in 2016, 2017 and worse after 2018. As long as the Senate did not have a filibuster proof 60 votes, national reciprocity has no chance. However, I agree that SCOTUS may take a more strict view on restrictions, which would probably nullify all of the 'may issue' and CCW requirements in NY.

It is election year pandering just like the republicans in Congress with multiple votes for stopping Obama care when they knew he would veto it. They were all full of bluster when they knew their votes didn’t matter but when they were playing with live ammo and had the chance to repeal, they folded like a cheap tent.

Agreed, not only on the 2nd amendment, but the rest of the constitution, and spending was out of control

complete wasted opportunity.
