Just purchased an Akkar Churchill 12 gauge pump action HD  shotgun. It was all I could get at my LGS. Does anyone else have one?

Perfect "you get what you pay for" shotgun.  And no resale value.  The time to ask for opinions and advice is before you buy.

It looks reasonably good. Turkish shotguns are fairly reliable and accurate. I wouldn't be concerned about the quality of the metal, as they make tons of shotguns for many of the higher end companies.

I own a few Tristars and found them to be reliable and well built. YMMV.

A few companies like S&W had a very brief run of Shotguns made in Turkey. The reason they stopped was the lack of quality. The few shotguns made in Japan are good quality.

If that's all you could get at the time then fine. Shoot it using pellets and slugs to see if it functions. If it works then great. If there is an issue have it fixed, you can always upgrade later on when the market opens up again. In the meantime, it's probably better than throwing bricks at your intended target.

Just got back from the range with my new Akkar 612 home defense pump shotgun. Worked smoothly and acurately. Very pleased with the way it performed.
