Jeff Quinn of Gunblast.com has sadly passed away on July 27th, 2020 in a hospital in Nashville, TN. Jeff’s channel has been one of the staples of the YouTube firearms community for nearly a decade now with Jeff reviewing and shooting many of the most popular firearm releases over the years. Jeff’s videos often brought a lighthearted and down to earth perspective on each firearm he brought to the show.
Rest In Peace Jeff Quinn (January 16, 1959 – July 27, 2020)
Jeff began his YouTube Channel in 2008, just 8 years after opening up his website where he has brought in multiple contributing writers which include his brother Boge. Both the website and the YouTube Channel have a significant following, with the latter having 208,000 subscribers at the time of Jeff’s passing. According to Jeff’s brother, Jeff had been going through some serious health trials before his passing which included some amputations, infections, and kidney problems.
My Brother Jeff was one of the finest men you could ever meet. He was unselfish, he’s just worried about others all the time. He’d been taking care of me and my little brtother ever since we was born. Jeff always made sure that our oldest brother didn’t pick on us too much and our cousins didn’t pick on us too much… He was the one who watched over his little brothers and took care of us.
One of the last conversations that Jeff had with Boge was about the YouTube channel and the website. Boge has increasingly been taking on more and more responsibility as Jeff’s ability to operate firearms started to diminish. One of Jeff’s wishes was for the Boge and the family to press on and continue the work he started in 2000.

The gun industry is full of good people, one of whom was Jeff Quinn. Jeff’s personality, knowledge, and demeanor will be sorely missed. Jeff was a benefactor life member of the NRA, a Baptist, and a friendly and welcoming guy. Jeff’s brother Boge released a statement on their YouTube channel which I have embedded below.
