I have heard some LI Gun shops have sold them.

But, by the letter of the law, I think their legality in NY is questionable at best.

Under the UnSAFE Act a semi-automatic shotgun is an "assault weapon" if it has:

"A fixed magazine capacity in excess of 7 rounds."

The way it is worded, I think it could easily be interpreted to mean that the total capacity of all fixed magazines on the shotgun can not exceed 7.
