I would like to shoot different loads, not just slugs. Any suggestions?

What are you doing? trap? skeet? papering?

FYI, brookhaven has a "no pistol grip shotgun" policy, not sure if that makes a difference for you or not.

Using it for home defense. I read rules for Nassau County range at Eisenhower park. No mention about pistol grips. Im assuming I can shoot there and they are not banned?

The Nassau County range at Mitchel Field does not permit the use of shotshells containing "shot". Only slugs can be fired from shotguns.
