I just called Campsite; they are open for business!

Please put other stores that are open in this thread?

Just one thing about Campsite, in the past, they used to waive their transfer fees if you spend $100 in their store. They no longer waive the transfer costs. And I was told that they are no longer accepting transfers from online stores, which is also sad.

Their prerogative, but I won’t patronize any store that wont do transfers. I completely understand they want you to buy from them.
But, if there is a significant savings, and more often than not there is, Im buying online. Saving money may not be important to some folks. It is to me.
Having been on that side of the counter, as the saying goes, there is not a large profit on firearms. That isnt what keeps lgs in business. Given the high price some stores get as a transfer fee, there is possibly a greater profit from not selling from their own inventory, and doing the transfer.
Its the age of the internet. Online purchases are a part of life. This is JMHO on the subject.

I had the transfer waived back in March. I thought buying $100 in store merchandise was fair enough.

I was surprised too. I thought that it was great for everyone involved. But alas, Camp-Site changed their policy now.
