Really hoping they get squared away soon. No real place to shoot indoors for next to nothing. Being a senior has its perks.

At least I have land upstate and use my personal range anytime. This is a good opportunity to try the other indoor ranges open to the public on Long Island.

They won't be 4 bucks.   and doesn't one of them have a top distance of like 27 feet ?   Guess I could bring my Crosman 760 or Daisy CO2 200.  I'll wait.

Just put in a call. Ventilation system is down. Must have not gotten it fixed yet.

ALL of them? - I'm sure there's a system for each room......

Anyone see any workers there?   if not, delaying repairs on the only moneymaking park is just incompetence.

....And where's our member who runs the place?

Let’s just hope it isn’t a ploy to close it permanently.

It would be a tremendous loss. Mitchell Field was an important part in training people for decades from LE to Hunter Safety Courses.

I doubt it will close. If you go there weekdays there are a ton of agencies that use the range, from Sheriffs to United Nations.

I remember the NYC Transit Police training recruits and In Service MOS for the Glock 19.

I love how it went from "its closed for repairs" to "I HOPE THEY DIDN'T CLOSE IT PERMANENTLY"

The ventilation system has gone down many times in the past and this happens. Its fine. Chillllll

I persisted and held on till some bloke picked up. He said it was closed. I asked when it would reopen? He said he hopes Fri. 3/29/19. I asked if I could ask why it was closed? He said "NO". Another example of your tax dollars at work. So I called The County offices on Thursday and asked to speak to who was in charge of the NC range was shifted to the PD. The officer who answered  was very nice but had no idea what was going on there nor why the operator would Chanel me to the PD. Get the feeling that no one knows what their doing? I then called Currans office and got an aid who didn't know we had a range. Then, after I asked if he figured the range was funded by our tax dollars he too a bit more interest and said it was governed by the Parks and Rec. He couldn't imagine why the recorded message stated "no closures"  and apologized for my inconvenience of traveling there twice in the last week from Massapequa. They did change the recording to
closed till 4/3/2019 though. God bless America.

She will get plenty of grief if she shuts it down. Many of these agencies are Federal and local that use the range. She can't shut it down unless it's a public safety issue.
The county for years during the summer did shut down for maintenance. She's more concerned about the pot issue

The idea that silence will protect us from these Libs is the same ignorance that allowed Hitler to take the Jews one family at a time. Each that were not taken felt relief. Until they were taken that is. "  Never Again" rings true  in more ways than one. We can't be silent and figure it will be ok. We need to let them know how many of us are willing to stand up. Why the NRA hasn't organized a march on Albany is baffling???? Maybe its time to come out of the closet????????????
