Called today and recorded message gave hours and no closings. Drove there to find a closed sign mid day??

That stinks.  Happened to me two years ago.    Load stuff into car, drive 30 minutes and that.    From then on I wait until the recorded message finishes and I speak to a human and ask if they are open.

i was supposed to go last night with my club. Got a text in the middle of the day that it was cancelled. I figured crap, OK. I’ll call and see if it’s the range that’s closed or the club just cancelled. Range was closed and I spoke to someone and I was told that it was closed UNTIL today.

I don’t think the Recorded message gets changed. I’m with the other guy, talk to someone.

They also changed that they are NO LONGER OPEN 363 days. They are closed on All Holidays.

Of course there is no explanation on what holidays. Are they closed on Good Friday? How about flag day?

The only excuse I got was that it was for a police event or repairs. That was second hand info. When I called yesterday, the guy said they were closed last night until today. Maybe they are making repairs to the HVAC equipment.

If you belong to a club at NC Range, it's probably the best value since you can shoot anything indoors and get the perks of the available programs through the NRA and other organizations.

As for closing for a police event, that's not supposed to be allowed.  It is a County Park, for the public.....  NRATC will know more about the events, but they were taken to task over this many years ago.

Typical Nassau County political BS. It is a government entity, bought and paid for with tax dollars, that has the nerve to then charge all its users, and refuses to give out info. Gotta love the corrupt arrogance.

Just got back from the range... CLOSED!  Why doesn't anyone that works at the range post the reason on this site?

Just called the range to see if I could get someone to explain... got a recording, pressed option 3, got a voice saying "There are no closures at this time".   Really??
