No, they treat it like a rifle or pistol. Only Shotgun/Black powder ML during special January season.

My driveway was plowed which is a big help. Many hunters can't make it to there camps because of the snow.
Everyone who is hunting opening day be safe!

Opening day was perfect, lots of deer movement. I shot this 7 pointer around 2:30PM. It was following a hot Doe, the odor was very strong.

Check with DEC for it's regulations regarding Black Powder upstate, No. Long Island doesn't allow rifle or handguns for hunting deer.

Coyotes are always a Target of opportunity when hunting during the season.

Several years ago I was hunting on my Uncles old farm in Delhi when a red fox came in sight digging in the snow; I put the crosshairs on him but held my fire.five minutes later the biggest buck I have ever taken ran up chasing a doe .If Had shot the fox I would never have seen the buck

Coyotes are responsible for the decline in wildlife. If possible, take out a coyote. A Red Fox doesn't apply.

The 3 point restriction should become state law.

I'd be in for a 8pt rule after a two year moratorium on all buck hunting in NYS.

This weekend is the final weekend of the firearms season. I did hear that DEC ENCON was at the Throgs Neck and Whitestone Bridges checking out hunters returning from upstate.
