It's that time of year, don't forget to apply for a DMP.
I have a few deer trails on my property, one is very close to my house.

I renewed on the 1st when it opened. Everything already came in the mail. My dmp is a pain to get so you can't wait. You need 2 preference points to get one which I had this year thankfully. So far 2 of us in the club got them. They'll be filled, should be a good season for sure. The trail cams have been very busy by my stand so I'm psyched.

I recommend Archery hunting in my area since my area 3H is very difficult to get a DMP. I have a lifetime hunting license that gives me a DMP. The guys who come hunting on my property the past few years never bothered applying. I told them to split the cost every year for a Doe tag. Opening day it's always a Doe being harvested.

Opening day was awesome shot a doe and about hour later shot an 8 point buck. It was fun dragging two deer out that morning.

Me and my buddy are the only ones in the club who didnt knock something down last year.

We both saw doe, mine was close enough to hit with a rock but the dmp's were filled already and neither of us had our own.

My area 4W in fact most of the Catskills are lousy with doe yet they give out the dmp's with an eyedropper.

They should have antlerless hunting only and give the bucks a chance to grow for a couple of years!

In 4w it's hard for a doe tag.
What I always try for a doe in cross bow season
