So my wife got the call from my IO asking if she knew about my license application and if she was ok with me having a handgun in the house, of course she said yes and she was absolutely fine with it. Anyway, she got the call and the IO said “he should have it in a week or so” then my wife says “oh so does that mean he was approved” and my wife told me the IO giggled and said in a week or so and it still needs to get signed off by her lieutenant. My question is this, was this the final step in my application before heading up the chain of command to be approved? If I was going to get denied would she have even called my wife? Now the mail man is my new best friend :) I’m waiting for him When I get home from work like my dog waits for me. It’s been ten days so far and I’m getting inpatient, so far it’s been 13 and a half months.... any input would be greatly appreciated. LOADED

You’re approved. Wouldn’t have called your wife otherwise. Should be in the mail this week.

Your approved, took me 8 days from the day my IO called til I got it in the mail.  Now after all this time hopefully you have some ideas about what you want to buy.

I’ve lived in Florida for a few years when I was in my early 20’s and I owned a few glocks and other polymer hand guns. I always said if I get my permit here in Suffolk that my first gun would be a Glock, but I kinda want to get into the 1911’s. I’ve been taking a major interest to them, mainly the ruger SR1911 commander model

Congrats on getting your license.

I have both.. 1911's are sweet shooters.

Glock are my woods gun (it they get wet or scratched- no big deal.)
