What do you want to do?  I have a pretty good 5-DVD set of lathe instruction, and can walk you through the basics of either lathe or mill.

Try Farmingdale State College, they used to have a good program there.

I wouldn't mind borrowing those  (I can make copies for others too...)

Funny thing is, my Grandfather was a Master Machinist for Greenlee - Remember the joke about the specialist who came in, turned one screw and billed $10k? - He DID that...  He had retired and they kept calling him back in to setup machinery, no one else knew how...

So I kinda learned what I know through osmosis....   I keep wondering what I could learn in a class.

Farmingdale College used to have Machine Too Lab, part of their MET program [mechanical engineering technology].

I learned working summers while in high school & college in the 70's. All manual machining. The guy who taught me, VIC, looked like he came right out of American Graffiti but was willing teach "the kid" for which I am truly grateful.

Never got into the CNC world :(
