Is there an hourly rate, or member's only pricing?
Currently members only. We will be offering limited "public" hours in January or February. The rate will be $30 per hour. After that, we will see how demand is among members and make a decision if we will increase or decrease the amount of public hourly time.

Is there a limit to the number of members you will accept?

If you're only shooting 3 or 4 times a year and you want to do it at a street level, modern, well lite, clean facility $30/hour is reasonable. If you're shooting more then that then you're probably better off going with a 1 year silver membership ($295) with unlimited hour sessions.

I've considered a membership in the DSI range. Although the location is very convenient for me, I am concerned about the limited hours of operation, especially in light of the limited number of points. For those of us who work week days and have even a limited commute, there are very few hours of operation available to us. I would hate buy a membership only to find out that the is no availability during the hours I can get there. Eight hours total on the weekend isn't much.
Does anyone have any experience with availability on the weekends so far?

This is probably going to be an issue for many and a cause for hesitation in buying a membership. It would be great if they could have some arrangement where members could be guaranteed at least 1 one hour slot every month that works for their schedule but the logistics of doing (preplanning involved) would be difficult to manage given the limited number of weekend hours and the fact that the weekends may be the only time a lot of people can make it to the range.
I think now that the range is up and running they will gain a better understanding of the needs of the members (potential members) and how best to accommodate them while maximizing the use of the range.

It amazes me the length some people will go to defend this place. It is now officially, the shortest, most expensive, and least convenient range on the island. And those statements apply to both members, and non-members alike. Have fun out there boys

I think if you re-read this and other threads you will see that its something like half the distance of Mitchell, 12 yards or so. I only shoot at Mitchell a few times a year, but at $3.50 an hour, first as military, now as an old fart, I can't see DSI in my future. Hell, if Mitchell closed I would drive to Calverton and wear woolies to shoot my pistols in the winter before paying $30. But that's just me. Hopefully DSI will attract enough big spenders to stay viable.
