Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my new Mini-14 build. I had it built by Carl from accuracy Systems out in Colorado. If I can remember correctly I started off with a NY compliant Model 5855 blued Mini-14 with the 5 round mags then added these mods:

Real wood American Walnut stock
Upgraded hammer spring
3.5 lb trigger job
Upgraded recoil spring
extended mag release lever
adjustable rear sights for windage & elevation
M14 style upper handguards for that classic look
adjustable gas block and barrel strut assembly
action has been bedded (for better accuracy)
OD green colored, quick release 2 point sling

The only other thing I would have wanted to add that NY won't allow me to have is the factory flash suppressor, but that's ok for now until I buy my vacation home in PA. Here are some photos:

That's ok, the price of the rifle, along with the mods came out to about $1800, then $50 or so for shipping to my local NY FFL, then a $35 or so FFL transfer fee at Volko Supply. If I can find the invoice I can probably itemize how much everything cost.

Link for stock- http://www.longislan...curacy-systems/

Mine is the solid American walnut, not the laminate stuff...I know Ruger sells Mini 14 ranch versions with the wood stock, but I like the aged look of the american walnut

As for the sites, I'm not sure. Mine are the improved rear sites for $79.99

You're welcome! You sure can do a lot of custom work to the Mini-14, definitely not as much as an AR, but I honestly feel I achieved the look and feel that I was going for. Now all I need to do is make time to go to the range try this thing out.

If you're running anti-virus web protection in your browser, like Kaspersky or Semantec, external links are blocked on LIF. They're running tracking software and the web protection treats it as malware. The only way I can get them to work is to disable Kaspersky.
