Last year my son Stephen Jr. went on a missions trip to Guatemala. This year they are going to Pine Ridge South Dakota. Please read his profile below and if you can donate it would be much appreciated.

I you prefer to donate via Paypal like some of you did last year please PM me and I'll give you my email address.

If you cannot donate then please keep my son and the other members of the church's youth group in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you and God Bless you All !!!

What exactly is a "mission"?

What exactly will your son be doing?

The description says "....sharing the love of Jesus with the local people...".

Does that mean prayer group? Or actually doing something in the community?

Interesting.

What kind of projects do they have lined up?

Last year in Guatemala they built an expansion on to an existing church (continuing the work of a group that went before them), Built a new home for a family, helped run a Vacation bible school at the local church, and help at local health center with HIV children.

I assume this years trip to South Dakota will be along those same lines of missionary work.

They have wine you know. I'm surprised you're not there for all the services. :)

Thank you
He was signed up for Appleseed last weekend but had to go on a training retreat for this missions trip all weekend. Hopefully he can participate in Appleseed in September. He's a pretty good shot too.
