Seriously - what would the minimum calber be to hunt moose (does Maine dictate a minimum?) - .30-06 or larger? Who would use .308 or .270?

I would think .308 would be the minimum but ideally 30-06 or better... although a buddy of mine took one out with a Harley.

They will do.
Remember people kill them with arrows regularly, so .308 or .270 is no problem.

Not too bad. Two of my friends have both hit. One last year one a few years before.
