I would like to pick up a TOB pass this year but like peteinsuffolk I am curious if there are any places left to make it worth it.

...and whats the difference in the NYS 4X4 permit, Suffolk and the TOB? If I have the NYS do I need the Suffolk and/or TOB? Is the TOB the one I used to use for surf casting at Democrat Point and Sore Thumb?

At least Suffolk residents have some choices of 4WD beaches ! All I have in Nassau is $3.50 an hour at Mitchell Field...
I suppose there never will be any reciprocity.
As for TOB, Cedar Overlook and Gilgo are easily walked, really no different than West End 2 or Town of Oyster Bay. Like FMJ said, I think the state permit is a better deal.

I agree, the NYS permit covers most if not all of what TOB covers.
