Clerk: "Welcome to Long Island Bass shop, how can I help you?"
Shopper: "Where is the gun section?"
Clerk: "Take the elevator to the sub-basement, walk all the way past the trash compactor room and there is an unmarked door at the left. Knock three times and have two forms of ID available and they will let you in."
Shopper: "Cool... and then I can look at the guns there?"
Clerk: "Oh no, we don't carry any guns in the shop. However, we will let you look at them in our catalog."
Douglas Adams said it best, with a little tweaking...
- "But the
plans[guns] were on display . . ."
"On display? I eventually had to go down to the cellar to find them."
"That's thedisplay[gun] department."
"With a torch."
"Ah, well the lights had probably gone."
"So had the stairs."
"But look, you found thenotice[guns], didn't you?"
"Yes," said Arthur, "yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying Beware of the Leopard."

By the time the store is completed they won't be able to sell anything firearms related.
Sorry for the negative attitude
No need to apologize. Cuomo and the imbecilic residents of new york peed in all of our cheerios this morning/last night. We have a right to be negative and po'd.

The other good news is the cultural impact. Don't forget that firearms have been a part of life for people in many states, just not New York. How many people do you know that grew up in the South or West, just don't get New York's aversion to firearms? They are considered evil here from the clueless population. A Texan will say, "let me see that gun!" A New Yorker will say "what makes you feel you need a gun?"
Anytime we have the opportunity to add a destination location such as Bass Pro where firearms and hunting are prominently featured, it helps "normalize" the presence of firearms to those that would naturally ask, "why do you need a gun." Changing culture takes time. Anytime firearms are featured and shown in everyday life, only helps in acceptance from those that have never used or owned a firearm.

But Uniondale? You might have to buy a gun just to get outta there safe and sound... or at least that is what the wife will hear.
And Riverhead? I can't see two giant destination stores behind enemy lines.
Lololol.....ahhh.....it's OK though..they only have 7 rounds to hit us with. Pretty soon new yorkers will have to set there sleeves on fire to posses a fire arm...
