The DEC runs a kids fishing day at the small pond. I am not sure what they are doing this year. Past years they stock the pond with trout, they have DEC workers help out with the knots and taking the fish off and they supply rods and worms. I am pretty sure no license is needed.

its a shame that the "meat eaters" show up and take home more than what you are allowed to. They pound that lake. I stopped going. Its the same group of people that come from Brooklyn that fish out all the lakes on long island. I had many fights with them. I fish upstate new York now only. I was sponsored by a german bait company called concept for you. I practice euro carp fishing. But I also did tournaments in Italy for trout. I fished with a 3x world champion match angler. so I take this stuff very serious. I target carp and trout. over seas I also tartget barbel and tench .

Actually, its address is West Hempstead, and most of the park is in Lakeview, which is not a nice area. Lol

The small lake is a nice place to go. Across the street, Penninsula Blvd, is RVC. Down the road a piece though are some projects. Either way, it's a safe place to be.
