This weekend at Freeport RR, an IDPA style match. Start time Sat. 2pm, come early to help set up. And Sunday at 8am. Lets make the last weekend of the Summer end with a bang. I will be there this weekend to shoot and to celebrate my birthday. Who else will come down and give it a try? IDPA is a great match to start with for someone shooting matches for the first time. Don't be shy or intimidated to try it. And don't hesitate to ask questions. But be warned, once you do it you may never be satisfied shooting ordinary targets at the range again!

Contagion2010 Sold Out in 17min "ZOMBIES"

First off I am sorry I couldn't get the post about signing up for the BIGGEST Zombie shoot in the northeast up in time for you guys. I knew it was going to be held on Oct 23rd but only found out about the registration less then a half an hour before it opened. I had to spend that little bit of time letting all my Zombie Hunter friends know.
I am off to work now so I will have to add more about this shoot later. What I will tell you is that there will be 10 stages and shots out to 500yrds. Here are the course descriptions. It's going to be awesome.

THEY'RE DROOLING MORE THAN USUAL
(Pistol) - You are a stripper surrounded by patrons. In the middle of your pole-dancing act, you notice slow moving zombies shambling in behind the patrons preparing to attack. Luckily, you are in your police outfit – and use a real gun and ammo as props. You defend the screaming patrons from the zombies. The bartenders have already been bitten and are changing. Put the feather boa on, and wrap your leg around the pole when you're ready to begin. Do not hit the booze!

THE REMINGTON
(Shotgun/Pistol) - Having escaped the zombie hoards you have fought your way to the local pub – the “Remington”. You have secured yourself behind the bar, but are running low on ammo. Zombies detect you in the bar and begin to attack the windows. You are able to fend them off in the windows with your pistol – but run out of ammo. You grab the bar owner’s shotgun, find it unloaded, and then use it to fend off zombies who have just broken down the door. Defending the bar is about the noblest thing you can do other than rescuing a baby, but we'll get to that later.

THEY'RE HERE...
(Shotgun/Pistol) - Zombies are advancing on New Holland. You are the only one who stands between them and total domination of the gun club. You will need to neutralize all of the infected or else we are all doomed.

BEHIND THE IЯON CUЯTAIN
(Rifle/Pistol) - You won't know what lies behind the iron curtain other than the ugliness of communism, and the stench of the dead. Yes - you are entering the courtyard of the Soviet Embassy, and it's not going to be pretty in there. Let's see your best effort at diplomacy with a Rifle and Pistol, instead of the de rigueur cigar and brandy you might be more familiar with in international diplomatic circles.

BUTCHER SHOP
(Shotgun/Pistol) - Enter a huge walk-in freezer through poly sheeting after seeing activity inside. Once you get in there you find zombies getting ready to attack a baby that has been hidden in there. Knock them out of the way with the shottie, get the baby, and fight your way back out of the cooler. This one will have a close-up, in your face claustrophobic feel to it.

FLIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
(pistol) - Govenment agencies confirmed that the outbreak was over. You are returning to your family by plane. Sitting in the back of coach, you begin to relax as the plane readies itself to taxi. A frantic stewardess screams on the announcement system that there are zombies on the aircraft. Make your way through coach and first class and get out..... if you can.

HOUSE OF HORRORS
(airsoft only) - You reach the sanctuary of the gun club only to discover that the only structure on it has become infested with the walking dead. You CANNOT GO IN THERE ALONE. Team up with another shooter, grab a full-auto airsoft rifle pass a wand/security check, don protective gear and get in there and take that clubhouse back. Sorry bro, you drew the short straw. If your CQB skills are rusty or nonexistent, please permit us to safeguard your valuables before you go in.

HOLD THE LINE
- Get into position inside a confined space and monitor your assigned sector through windows and other holes in the wall that may exist. You will have to use all the different openings to successfully hold back the zombies that the perimeter security detail missed. Your area goes from about 50 to 100Y away.

ZQ-COURSE-RIFLE
- We are glad you brought the rifle, but how about we make sure you can handle it effectively? You will have to shoot over, around, through, under and alongside a rather difficult test that we call the crusher barricade. Pass this, and we just might let you stay. Follow the instructions of the ZQ Drill instructor, and you should have no problem getting this done.

PERIMETER SECURITY DETAIL - ONLY THE BEST NEED APPLY
- We are not kidding. If you aced the ZQ-Course, and think you've got what it takes to serve on the hardest rifle detail we've got, step on up. This unit is all about stopping Zombies way before they hit the wire, and making the most out of a depleted ammunition supply. You will engage a whole bone-orchard full of them from 200Y out to 500Y. ......Or you'll die trying..... It's been a long time since the unit found a worthy recruit.
ARE YOU GAME????
