Will installing sling neg.impact old rifles value?

My Mossberg .22 250C is from the 60's it's in great condition. I may be going to Appleseed, and it says that a sling is required for the training. There is a possibility I may get something lighter before the event anyway, that has the the sling attachments already installed, but i'm not positive. In reality, the Moss is too heavy for me, so i'm not sure I want to use it for Applessed. If I do get something new, I may still have to lend it to a friend for the event, so either way, it may need the sling. Installing a sling requires screwing the attachements into the stock etc.. doesn't it? I don't believe this rifle is worth alot in comparison to others, collectors rifles etc, but I like that it's 50 years old, and is great shape. Will installing a sling have a negative impact on it's value? Who would do a sling installation.. a gun shop? Any suggestions on where to go? I'm in Nassau. I'm also still open to more suggestions for a light .22 .. i have a bad shoulder and can't handle much weight..looking for 5 lb max.. under 5 is better. I sought suggestions on a different thread for one. If I have to rush out and buy something strictly for this event.. i'm looking for cheap, lightweight and fairly accurate, Most importantly, i need this answer about the sling installation. Thanks all....

hello friends, yes the tea-party event was in suffolk county.every week there are tea party events in suffolk.(starman)yes fox news covered the chicago panthers shadowing intimidating voters at the polling center . Yes this is very disturbing.(Doc.t),The woman did not press charges against the punk kid.She will not let some punk kid stop her from protesting.(krygny) yes a anarchist kid.The kopenhagen global warming summit, riots, fires, battles with police.Anarchy pure and simple.Left wing socialists.(m14bullets)yes its an insult to america that d-day is not taught.I am the son of a wwII combat veteran. It pains me as a veteran and as a son that D-day is viewed as unimportant in public education. The liberal rewriting of history has to be halted. This is a reason I protest with the tea party groups.(ecr)Freedom of speech comes with a price.thanks .The NRA is always welcome at the tea-party./////my question to all is online/off line gunsmith classes.I use to do machinist work in my youth I am interested in learning more.I was told to check (midway) for learning material.take care my friends.woodstock
