Read some posts that Dicks is pulling AR's from their stores and no longer selling as of tonight... Anyone been by one today or hear the same ? I guess we'll know by tomorrow if this is more over reacting
I was at smith haven yesterday, a guy walked up to the counter and said " Hey, do you have any AR-15's?" Guy behind counter... "no." I just thought they were sold out. Guess we'll see.
They were absent from their fliers after the mall shooting.
What they are going to do with them, who knows? But I know if this is true, I'll never spend one dollar in that store again.
I was at the dicks a smith haven today as well. The said they were out of stock until the end of jan. the guy behind the counter was trying to talk someone out of a mossberg tactical 22 and to wait for a s&w mp22.
I was at dicks at roosevelt field today, actually had a nice conversation with a couple guys there about the coming awb bill. They didnt have an ar's on the shelf other than the 15-22, that looks evil in the eyes of an anti.
Ooops! I posted earlier that Dick's had AR's today - but didn't stop at the counter so I didn't realize they were .22's. (I was in the fishing section and glanced over)
Just now at 5:45am channel 7 Eyewitness News said Dicks will no longer sell guns at their store near Newtown, and has pulled "certain" types of guns from all their stores........
Yup, was just on their website. No announcements, BUT when I was browsing the rifle section and clicked on modern sporting rifles!
Got a blank screen area on the screen.......
It just doesn't make any sense seeing how any firearm he would have taken would have done the same. Dont get me wrong, I don't want to take them all down, Just leave them all up.
I'm done with Dicks will never deal or walk into that store again. They have a change of heart so do I hope they go out of business then maybe I'll grab something before they close there doors.
The incident in Newton was a terrible tragedy... I shall continue to shop at Walmart and Dick's because of price savings on items. I believe it was a wise business decision.
These knee jerk responses are the problem. The media spewing their rhetoric as fact are changing the way the sheeple think and feel. Dicks has lost any and all future business from me.. If they feel that all 'Black guns are evil' then they don't deserve any of my green. Maybe next they will drop all knives, machetes, baseball bats and golf clubs from their line...
Models Sporting is just down the road from them in Commack and Hunters Essentials and Campsite are hands down better than any Dicks around.
