*    The code 10-7 is often referred to as a fatality, or CODE F.  This can be shared with 10-40.
**   3731 is the code most used for INTOXICATED DRIVER, ETOH is the term for ALCOHOL.
*** Code 30 is used when a complete NCIC, CLEAN, and SHERIFF Wants / Warrants Check Is Requested.
      ACT 64 is a person IN A VEHICLE WITH AN OPEN CAN / BOTTLE of ALCOHOL.

Luckily the trend these days is the move back to plain english to increase/enhance interoperability between agencies. Nassau's 10-7 is a meal. Suffolk's 10-7 is a criminal mischief.
