Maybe they shut him down for being a mess. ;D or not.
Could it be he may have done something illegal? Its not everyday the ATF shows up and shuts you down.
Then, again, maybe he just couldn't match up guns to paperwork.......there's a lot of crap in there.

Who did he piss off??? He did not have the most engaging disposition which would lead me to believe he pissed off the wrong person.

I know he wasn't a fan of the Connequat State Park Police.  That has been going on for years though.

Hmmmm....when I was in there a few weeks ago for some ammo, he had a large stack of his bound books piled on a chair, right across from the cash register.  I never noticed them before, but, then again, that's just maybe where he kept them all the time and I just never noticed.  Wonder if there's any linkage?

Of course he could be in trouble for overcharging for guns.  (Sorry, I'm weak and just couldn't resist.  But I never bought anything there but a few boxes of bullets.  He was a hundred plus over on one piece I was looking for, compared to lots of other places.)

Well, I guess if he did not keep up on his paperwork they could shut him down.

He did'nt really look like the bookworm type to me.

ATF doesn't swoop in unless there's a reason to.

Look at the Nassau stores.. did you see ATF on the case there??  (for the record, no ATF was not involved)

The same ATF that classifies Chore Boy pot scrubber pads as NFA firearms

Yeah! Those upstanding folks!

Let's wait until the dust settles and see what is really the story.

Not to go off topic here, but you need to clarify the statement. The reason WHY it was classified...

A silencer is a firearm per U.S. Code, subject to National Firearms Act registration and transfer tax requirements.

“[S]ound/gas absorbing materials manufactured from Chore Boy copper cleaning pads, along with fiberglass insulation, constitute a silencer…”

Therefore, it is illegal for an individual to replace deteriorated material within an already- registered suppressor without an approved ATF Form 1
, ‘Application to Make and Register a Firearm,’” along with a “$200.00 making tax” and “a ‘no-marking’ variance…since there is no viable area in which to apply a serial number to the sound-absorbing material.”

So its not the product that is illegal, its the how the product is used which makes it illegal.

Finally someone says it. Listen the ATF has a job to do we might not agree with it but there doing there job. They dont just do things without cause as it might seem pointless on some of there rules thats the breaks they make the rules.
