I might build it from part kits with 16 inch barrel + Semi auto Receiver and Bolt assembly but i need to know if its ok to build one of these in collapsible stock and Fixed magazine? So i can just take pistol frame pin out to reload from the top just like AR.

By the way Please don't tell me to get AR platforms because i already got 3 in different caliber.. I'm pretty much getting tired of same common rifle so i was looking for something new breed of rifles to try.

does anyone have UZI carbine? I'm curious if you could reload it from top of pistol frame or bottom of the magazine.

The Uzi is a renowned weapon, it deserves better than to be made safe act compliant.

I also own Uzi's, but can't think of how you'd top load 'em - can you? They fire from the closed bolt (unlike the real ones) and the bolt doesn't even lock open on an empty magazine....

I suppose you can remove the whole grip frame with the mag permanently attached to it, load it then try to reinstall it, but i think that may classify as a removable mag then.

so I actually just tried it. It most certainly is possible, although a PITA. I'm wondering if they would still consider it a detachable mag though considering. It appears to be a gray area technicality. LOL just buy multiple lowers w/trigger grips for "quick" mag changes...20170330_150454.jpg

Yeah, but look what a PIA it is to handle that gun with a fixed mag.  It would be a misery to load and how would you clear a jam?   If you want a 45acp carbine in NY, go for a Just Right Carbine in NY Compliant configuration chambered for 45acp--like the one pictured below.  http://www.tactical-...on-new-product/   It takes 1911 mags.   Personally, I would still prefer 9mm or 40sw with glock mags.  At least you can swap mags with it and clear jams.

Like what i just said No Ar platforms.. They're cool but way too overrated at the moment in my opinion.

Didn't they also make the Uzi with a wood stock? That would be legal, if you can get past the pistol grip that is also the mag well.

Would this be SAFE legal? Pistol grip, sort of, but not under the action.
