Today marks the anniversary of the siege of the Alamo in 1836. Many brave men died in the 13 following days. If you ever have a chance visit the site. I got chills walking thru the building. Spooky. During the siege Col Travis wrote one of the most stirring documents of American and Texican history. This letter asking for assistance is well worth listening to. As a sidelight General Santa Anna who put these men to the sword would go on to spend 10 years living on Staten Island. Unbelievable story....

Was there when I was younger great place to vist the town is great the water walk is beautiful.
