Roy Innes, the founder of the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) has passed away at age 82. Roy was a staunch supporter of equal (and he meant equal!) rights, a staunch supporter of Gun Rights, despite losing two children to violence involving guns, an NRA Member and a past member of the NRA Board of Directors. I had the pleasure to meet him several times- a true gentleman

I remember watching him on Morton Downey, have an argument escalate to a punch knocking down Al Sharpton.

Roy HATED Sharpton, and what he stood for...that culture of victimhood made Roy very angry. He knew Sharpton was nothing more than a race profiteer

Roy was a good man and will be missed. He did much, not just for 2A but, also, for racial harmony.

He also was on a TV show back in the 1960s about UFOs. Great show.

Yes, Niger Innes is following in his footsteps. Roy lost 2 sons to violence involving firearms, but he knew the object was not to blame
