Exactly. Statute does not allow the state police to issue or renew handgun licenses.

The upstate County Clerks said no to Cuomo for taking care of the recertification every five years. This is how Andy will say FU to them by getting his new agenda pushed for his state troopers to handle the pistol licenses upstate.

That's why it's called recertification not renewal.

Playing word games is how they keep us hopping around.

 

Right now, each county has a data base of what we own.

 

When any agency is looking into you, they would have to go to your county to see if you own a handgun.

 

Once all the re-certs are done, there will be a single data base with the state police with all of our registration info at their finger tips.

 

Guarantied, it will be tied to our drivers license. If you get pulled over, guess what will show up when they do a drivers license check.

 

 

It will make it easier for them for when Cumo has us register our long guns in the future.
