"Federal law gives the FBI a three day window to process a background check for an individual that
wants to purchase a firearm. If the Bureau is unable to complete the background check within the
three day period, the purchase is allowed to go through. The Greenville News obtained FBI data
from 2015 that shows the FBI was unable to process 271,359 background check applications within
the three day window. Of those, the FBI ultimately denied 9,063 applications.

As the newspaper explains, this means up to 9,063 firearms may have been sold to individuals who
were ineligible to own a firearm simply because the FBI was unable to process the paperwork within
the three day window."

Didn't Obama hire something like 400 more investigators just a few months ago?

An awful lot of people must be buying an awful lot of guns.

I wonder why that is.

Barack H Obama greatest gun salesman since Samuel L Colt.

We'll knowing how slimy this group of politicians are how many of then do you think own stocks in the gun companies. It's the ultimate insider trading. Stocks level out buy a ton then write a bill that bannes the gun the company you own stock in boom the stock goes up sales go up production goes up. Then the bill fails you dump the stock just as it fail for a hefty profit.
Sound like sound political practice

The figures reported were from last years. Adding NICS investigators is one of the few things Obama has done or proposed that I actually agree with.

We must hold firm on the 3 day rule. It is a ingenious part of the background check law that strongly motivates the government, even when run by anti-gun Liberals to keep the NICS section properly staff and ensure that background checks are completed quickly. Without it, a Democrat administration would intentionally cause huge delays on gun purchases.

What's the big deal? Its not like anyone ever had to wait 18 months or more for a government issued gun license.

Oh wait.
