It is the usual crap from the Dems:

"Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-N.C.) joined other Democrats to call for the reinstatement of the
federal assault weapons ban, arguing that the Second Amendment only applies to muskets."

But this especially caught my eye:

"Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) told PJM he would vote for the reinstatement of the assault weapons ban.

'I voted for it in ’94, yeah,' he said. 'It should be reinstated. I would vote for it.'

When asked about opposition to the ban from conservative lawmakers and NRA members, King said,
'They feel it doesn’t work and they have their honest differences.'"

“This is something as a non-lawyer that I have had trouble with from the very beginning. When the framers of our Constitution considered the Second Amendment, they were talking about muskets,” Coleman said during a news conference outside of the Capitol Building on Tuesday.

Typical drek nonsense from brainless morons. Our Founding Fathers watched firearms evolve in their lifetime alone. Muskets went form match lock types that rarely were reliable to flint lock. Rifling was added to the barrels. Better steel was forged, better bullets were invented. Cannons and mortars were improved upon and upgraded. The Second Amendment was never about the type of firearm you are allowed to own. Its about ARMS. ARMS means just that, weapons of any kind to defend yourself with and your STATE. It had nothing to do with having the ability to form a militia to protect this new Federal Government as these Butt clowns want to believe. It was about having the power to overthrow an oppressive Federal Government to preserve the sovereignty of the State. That principle exists today.

Twitter is the "assault weapon" of the 1st Amendment.

It's used to spray mass stupidity at billions of victims throughout the World at the speed of light.

This guy presents the argument that the Second Amendment isn't granted by the government. Rather, his point is that the government has nothing to do with it, and the right is given to the people by God, and the government is prohibited from infringing on this right from a higher order. Bill Whittle did a longer analysis of this interpretation using a lingulistic academic who took the sentence apart and came to the same conclusion. We need to be pushing this outlook when dealing with the low-information types.
Worth a watch!!!:
