Did the same. Inshore, in the channel.
21" Fluke, and just a hair under 5 pound Blue...

Made great filets for dinner..

we opted to go on the north shore yesterday because of the stiff winds thinking the ocean might have been a little rough, NOAA was calling for 3-4 ft seas.
Well the Sound was no fun either. We fished in a tight 3ft chop yesterday off of Bayville for a dozen porgies with a couple running around 13". Made the best of the conditions we were in. Adult bunker still far and few between.

We were at the beach yesterday. Something was swimming around just off-shore. Couldn't tell what it was... about 12"

Coney Island Whitefish ?

I've caught quite a few of those, all "throwbacks" no questions asked. The Irish variety a lot smaller than the African variety.
