"And the Twitterverse loses its collective ****.

It really is beautiful to watch. The Senate today rejected four gun control bills that were
proposed in the wake of the Orlando massacre, including one that would have relieved some
Americans of their rights without due process.

'The first, sponsored by Grassley, would have called for research on the causes of mass
shootings and increased funding for the background check system, although it would not have
expanded the types of gun sales that require them.

The second, sponsored by Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., would have expanded background check
requirements to include private sales and sales over the Internet.

The third, sponsored by Cornyn, would allow federal law enforcement officials to delay gun
sales to suspected terrorists, including those on watch and no-fly lists, for three days and
then halt the sales, but only after proving probable cause before a judge.

The final amendment, sponsored by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., would have allowed the
attorney general to halt sales to suspected terrorists and allow individuals to appeal to the
Department of Justice if they are denied a firearm.'"

And if they had passed they would not have prevented the Orlando massacre.

According to what heard on Savage radio just the other Feinstein argued that this terrorist attack had nothing to do with gun control, it has to do with National security, not gun control.

Very interesting....

Just think If they put all there energy into the REAL (NOT GUNS) problem WHICH is Terrorism and Obamas policies they may save lives and future attacks. Problem is the ones who cry guns can't handle the REAL problems on anything. It would be nice If the Republicans slammed Bill after Bill to target the real problem terrorism so the Democrat's and President look bad but they don't. They eat steak and just play defense while the Liberals see nothing from them.

Obama has done nothing but support and defend Muslims over the past 7.5 years. Didn't he take an oath to support and defend the Constitution too?

Thought the one Republican one was good but the three day thing was not a reachable goal and would allow Antis to subvert it to take month

It's garbage. So denying a right first and then due process to get it back?

No. It's the other way around. Due process to strip a right.

I adored the complaint from the antis that "three days aren't enough." Seriously? Aren't you saying that the Government does a thorough job vetting people before they put them on the list? Keeping them on the list? Shouldn't this all be well documented ere someone tries to buy a gun?

It's almost like our side was right about the "list" all along.

That is the new tact taken by gun control advocates..Make it a National security issue and shift enforcement to DHS.
