The wife and I are planning a trip to Cabo in August or October. Either of those months due to a hot Blue Marlin bite those months and works with our schedules. I've been Marlin fishing(exclusively) twice and skunked both times, both times in Hawaii. It's one of the few fish I haven't landed and it's my Grail fish as its many fishermans Grail fish.
Cabo is also a good target area for the species and curious if anyone here has caught Marlin there and which boats would you recommend? I've been to Acapulco and fished there and caught fish but no bills. Any leads you can give me to point me towards a hard working boat that finds fish would be appreciated.

While I'm at it, think we're going to do an all inclusive resort. What would you recommend for a couple not traveling with kids? Gracias.

Wife and I spent 8 days fishing the East Cape a few years ago. It was AWESOME!

Tuna, dorado, pargo (mexican red snapper) , and line breaking grouper.

Saw some marlin but didn't hook any.

Hate to say it, but the local NJ boat, Canyon Runner could probably put you onto Bills, if they're in the Hudson Canyons, they could probably find them for you...

Caught a 7 foot striped Marlin and a lot of sea sickness off of Mazatlan Mexico. Lots of opportunity out there including hammer heads. Unfortunately there weren't a lot of bites.

Booked it off of a cruise excursion

What you find up here in the summer direct from the Gulf Stream are whites, I've caught several on LI before.
I'm targeting Blues. Their visits up here are quite rare. Cabo on the other hand, is a well know hotspot in the world for a Blue/Black Marlin.

I've been told October is better for the Blues but the wind can be nasty. You may not get out for days.

Pops caught and released this nice sailfish in his home state of Florida. Does it have to be a marlin ?

No offense, but why did they bring it into the boat if it was released?

Blue/black Marlin are very elusive. Especially of any size.

I've tried a number times with little luck. :(
