Just wondering if anyone has any experience using Britt Firearms in Mineola for a pistol transfer (online purchase)? It looks like they are a stone's throw away from the PLB as well. Looks like parking may be a problem according to Google maps.

It's by the train station. Depends what time you go parking wise. Give randy a call and give him a heads up on it first. He's a really nice guy.

I personally like the store even though it's pretty small. The owner is really friendly, but yeah, parking could be a little issue. But i would stop by

Randy's a good guy sorry I don't know the transfer fee there but there is metered parking right in front usually a least one is free or you can park in the alley behind the store and walk around .

hospital and doctors offices make it tough to park. go to theeast side of mineola blvs. there's a municipal lot there and sometimes metered parking on the street.

I used to shoot there every Friday AM. I was a R.O. there as well. Parked at the municipal lot. It has an entrance on Main St. As others already said, Randy is a good guy.

I've only been there a few times and all have been a good experience with very nice employees (or owner).

OK, sounds like I'll send the pistol his way. Thanks for all of the replies.

Don't know what the charge is nowadays but ten years ago when I needed to transfer my pistols from Pennsylvania, he wanted $75 per to do the transfer.

That being said, I have bought there over the years and have had only good experiences on ammo and guns off the rack.

Oh man, maybe I should call tomorrow and see how much the transfer fee is. That's outrageous!

I believe he charges 50-55. I was looking for someone to do a transfer about a month ago and he was one of my choices. I'll be using him this month for another transfer I have coming only because he is so close to plb.

Volko is about a mile away, FYI. Get transferred for half that.

Like what people above said, VOLKO does not do pistol transfers. My go to is usually Hunter for pistol transfers but it's hard to get Bruce sometimes and the convenience of Britts has got me hooked. But when I do long guns Vic and volko is the man!

Britt's is a great little shop. Randy is very nice, and his used section always has something interesting. Still kicking myself for not buying a S&W 41 from him. Rone is actually mad at me about that too.

Yep, he had an HK P7 in there a while back for a better-than-fair price and I missed the boat.

So the 15 or so that you have just aren't enough for you? :)
