NO, that's not it- You, or the author of the story, are confusing two different things.

a) That's not a Jeep offering, it's an aftermarket builder.

b ) The CEO of Jeep said the other day at a show to some guy that he will be offering - within the next year- the Hellcat engine in, I think it was something like a Grand Cherokee. He then added "just for you" - so I don't know if he's serious or not. I'm not in the market for either so I wasn't really paying attention, I just read about this in passing and there was a video link, it was on Autoweek or Digg or Jalopnik or one of the bigger Auto blogs- don't remember which one. Audio of the guy asking the question is a little muddy, but CEO's answer is clear.

Hellcat engine in a Jeep makes about as much sense to me as a Ferrari flat 12 in a Iveco pickup. But hey, somebody'll buy it and think it's the greatest thing ever, that what makes the world go round.
