can't say I'm familiar with the XCR, but am with Rem 700's.

if you don't mind me asking..........
What scope did you mount on it?
What bases and rings did you use?

BTW - will likey be at Calverton on Saturday morning, sweltering, and would love to have a look at it if that's where you're going to shoot it.

I put a Leupold Mark 2  4 -12 variable 40 (Mil Dot) on it with one piece med height Vanguard mounts.  I was going to put a little more into the scope but I have two friends with the Mark 2 that camparison shopped the large Tube Mark 4 and they both seem satisfied with thier choice.  Basically I followed the crowd and was glad to find the out of production scope new.  I have my fingers crossed that it will be a shooter out of the box.
