'42 Izzy M-38 rearsenaled (though it looks like it didn't need it) and in M-44 stock (I think all numbers matching too), and an M39 with '42 VKT barrel on a '87 Tula receiver. I've been wanting to expand the collection greatly, but these bills keep coming and apparently I need to pay them, so it'll wait until financial times are better (sucks when you can't even afford to collect Mosins). I need an SVT too, maybe I'll get one of those lucky yardsale scores...

Between me and my dad we're up to about 5 91/30's and an m44.

They're probably my favorite rifle to shoot!

The bolt on mine has both Izhevsk and Remington stamps on it (depending on which piece of the bolt you look at).  Obviously put together from a couple different bolts.  Everything else is original, along with the bayonet.

I'm interested in a Nagant. Do they have bayonet lugs? If they do not i can own one in the city.

Old rifle, has a loud bark, but a wicked bite.

Well the M91/30 you put the spike bayonet over the muzzle and twist it to lock on, so there is no lug. The m44 has the bayonet fixed to the rifle and can fold out, but you can remove the bayonet, The M38 dosen't have a bayonet at all, that might be your best bet next to the M91/30

The M91/30 is longer (50.7 in) and has a removable bayonet, the M44 is a carbine (39.9 in) and the bayonet is fixed to the rifle and folds

Thanks. Then I have an M91/30 because it has a removable bayonet. LOL.
