Went to Chesters yesterday and left with a new Benelli M4. Have to say he was great to work with and never once did he not answer any of my questions. I will most definitely do business with him again. Also its nice thats he only blocks away from me to. In book Chesters is A+++.

Jefe, that's a nice shotgun.  On a public servant's salary, yours truly just can't afford it.

I'd be very interested to hear how you spec it out.

I was in the market for an M4 a year ago, but I ended up going with the M2 instead. I chose the M2 for basically 2 reasons: it was (more easily) available with a standard (Comfortech) stock lacking the pistol grip, and it cycles low-recoil LE rounds more readily. I base the latter conclusion on shooting my brother's two M4's, which would occasionally not cycle (5-10% of the time) with several types (Remington and Federal 00 buck) of low-recoil stuff. It was also a few hundred $$$ cheaper, which didn't hurt.

As per the NYS AWB, it was legal to put a mag extension on the non-pistol grip M2. 4+1 rounds just doesn't seem like enough for a tactical/HD shotgun.

I looked into the M2 and M4 for about 3 months holding both and the M4 with the P/G just felt best. I first purchased a Mossberg 930SPX with the P/G and its been give me problems so its going back to Mossberg for repairs. I didn't get to try any of the Benellis before purchasing the M4, so I was going by what people told me about how nice the M4 shot. As for the cycling problems only shot about 20 Rounds out of it and so far no problems. But I will keep an eye open for that problem. Also my main HD gun is a Mossberg 590A1 pump, so I can add a bigger mag to that for more rounds if need be.

I just love my Benelli M3 (Semi Auto/Pump).

Shot everything through it including low recoil rounds, bean bags, rubber bullets, slugs and buck without a hiccup while in semi-auto mode.

Also a fine gun (my bro has one of those too). But the semi-auto mode of the M3 is inertia-based, just like the M1/M2. The M4 is a gas gun.

Yup, the M4 is gas driven. It's issued to the USMC too.
