My friend has a remington 1100 and he accidentally fired low recoil rounds through it about 5 or so.. Now the gun isnt cycling properly.. We cleaned it out and havent shot it again but is there any real long term problems that can happen if you do this?

There shouldn't be any problem from firing low recoil rounds other than that they may not eject and jam. Were they ejecting from gun and loading the next round? Maybe the piston rings or rubber seal are damaged.

Yeah it wasnt ejecting when we were shooting thw low recoils.. But when we went to heavier loads it was doing the same ixact thing.. Right before we shot the low recoils, the gun was shooting fine..

Clean the gun and replace the piston seal.  (The rubber O ring)
Shouldn't be a problem

Take off the forearm and look at the piston seals. Also if you never cleaned it, the mag tube which the piston slides along sometimes gets gummed up.

what type of 1100? Is it new or old? The piston seal maybe the problem but I have shoot 1100's without them and they cycle low recoil loads fine.  I know alot about 1100's so lets start with the two questions first...
