Who has the best deal on a AR15 receiver locally on LI?

I just acquired a NM A2 custom built upper and want to price out a new build. Not sure if I want to sell the upper or build another AR15. The upper was built by J Higgins, 20" stainless match bull barrel, free floated barrel, 1/7 twist, pinned NM sights. This was never fired except to test, it was meant for a Camp Perry match rifle. I don't know if i could justify another AR.

Thanks, Ken

LRB may not be the cheapest but it is one of the best you can buy anywhere. At $129 retail for an LRB what are you saving by buying a no name receiver at $99 or $89?

The 2 AR's I built are both on LRB receivers. Looking to see what my options are. Sorry I didn't get in on the group buy.

You can get a Rock River lower from lone star distributors (online) for $125 plus shipping. I just ordered one last week and got it delivered in 2 days. I went to a local FFL (Volko Supply in Garden City Park) for the transfer and for $25, it was a great deal. Prior to that (last year), I had gone over to Hunter Sports in Massapequa and Mark was doing a buy two RRAs for $180 each deal, but prices do change radically over time based on availability. I also bought them there two years ago for only $139 each, so it depends. I like the Rock River lowers, since if you use their parts kit, you get their Lifetime Warranty on the lower, which is nice. RRA lowers also seem to mate a little more snug with the uppers, eliminating wobble between the two main parts.

I couldn't get him down on price ( no discount for LongislandFirearms.com forum members he said) , he said he didn't recall selling any receivers, so I paid $129 plus tax.
Jim may have bought it from the other partner?

LRB Arms Lower is one of my favorites as it's company is owned by a fellow Long Islander and known the owner for past 10+ years or so.  Good quality stuff.

I bought 2 on Dec 1st 09 from Allen, they were both ATI's. I called before I went down and asked if he would give me the same deal as another member got from here. He said he would as long as I bought 2 or more which I did. Maybe they were tight for cash before the holidays.

BTW $129 is a great price. I was quoted $179 from South Shore. I don't recall the brand, but I have zero problems with my lower everything went together with my DPMS lpk perfectly.

+1 I was very happy with the quality of the LRB lowers we got during the group buy.

Yes please! I missed the first one and I'm going to be buying an LRB lower within the month anyway. At the group buy price I'd pick up 2

I am on the fence about building another AR with this NM A2 upper. It is about as good as you can get for match shooting, just not sure I need or want AR #4. I picked up a few LRB receiver before the group buy but sold 1 to a friend and now regret that move. I should have gone in on the last LRB group buy.

I missed out on all those holiday deals everyone was running.  Looking for a good tax return sale, nothing like spending money before I even get it.

+1 on supporting locals!!!.....   Besides, it's a MIL-SPEC item... shouldn't matter what name is on the side...

What do you want to know???....  Just not familiar with AR15's?....  the receiver is in two halfs (a quick web search will get you pics), the lower half is the FFL restricted part, it carries the serial number (trigger, magwell, grip, stock) the upper contains the barrel assembly, bolt/carrier group, and sights.
