For those not familiar, these index clips are for covering the picatinny rails of your firearm (i.e. a railed AR forearm).  They are individual clips that snap into place and protect your rails as well as your hands from the rails.  Since they are individual clips, you can easily configure and reconfigure them to whatever you have mounted or will mount in the future.

For $20.00 you get a total of 72 clips.  60 regular, 8 top keepers and 4 lower hooks to hold wires from pressure switches in place.  They clip on easily and are rock solid.

When I received my order from Larue Tactical, to my surprise, the box not only contained a tin of index clips....there was a boatload of Larue swag.....

How cool is that....a hat, bumper stickers, a tactical beverage opener and Dillo Dust (dry rub for your BBQ!)

Here are the clips and the tin you get....

Here they are mounted.  They give the rail a nice narrow profile.  FYI, They are made of a hard plastic/polymer and do not have a rubbery texture, but since they are individual clips they create a nice gripping surface anyway.  I have a cheap rail on my AR just to see if I like the idea of a rail.  The rail edges on mine are SHARP....with the index clips in place it is 100% comfortable with no more sharp edges.  I had enough clips for the 2 sides and bottom of a mid-length rail with some leftovers.

If you need to cover your rails, want a narrow profile, need to organize a pressure switch wire and don't want to spend alot, I think these are a great way to go.

"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

We are a funny bunch. We pay $60-$500 to make an AR forend railed, then we spend another $15-$80 to cover the rails up.

They look good, more ergonomic than flat ladders.
