I will have more info tonight. You just have enough time to get your handgun license before the event.

CAS and Roberto want to team up with me?

Here is all the info I have on the match.
The 3rd weekend in June Topton Rod and Gun Club will be holding a 3 man team zombie shoot. This match will consist of a minimum of 6 stages. All of the stages will require each team member to use his or her firearm.(i.e. all shooting stages) The stages will consist of relay type stages where on shooter at a time shoots, them tags in the next shooter until all 3 shooters have shot his or her targets. And also stages that all 3 shooters will shoot at the same time in a rolling thunder type stage. Each shooter will be required to have a pistol, rifle, and each team will need at least two shotguns. ( pistols iron sights no comps, rifle anythign goes, shotgun 9 round max no comps or optics. This is to make it as fair as possible for everyone. The stages are still in the preliminary stages of development but we are expecting each shooter to need a min of 100 pistol , 100 rifle and 50-75 shotgun. These numbers may grow. Our ranges allow us to shoot to 100 yards on two bays, 200 on one bay and 50 on 3 bays. Entry will be 60 per man or 180 per team. We will start taking entries early in 2010. I have already contacted DPMS and they are confirmed as a Sponser as well as many others. I plan on doing some random drawings for prizes as well as doing a payout for place finishes. If I can fill the match I hope tp payout 2500-3500 in cash.
We run many tactical and 3 gun matches at this club. Ask around our matches run smoothly and payout is always generous.
Targets will consist of zombie targets and knock down steel as well as some stationary clays for the shotgun.
email me at
tapsmd@toptonfga.org
thanks
dean

Here is all the registration info for the match.
I have expanded the match to seven stages. (all seven will be shooting stages.
each stage will have a time limit of between 180 and 220 seconds to make sure we can get all the teams done in decent light.
checkin starts at 8
shooters briefing will be at 8:30
shooting starts at 9
I will post more info soon

Email me at tapsmd@toptonfga.org
give me a list of your team members and a team name. I will email you a confirmation. once you get the confirmation you will get my address and your team can send me ONE check for the entire team.
This will hold your teams spot.
I will also try and meet all squading request, in case more than one team want to shoot together in the same squad.
I have to limit the match to about 70 teams so the sooner you register the better. We will shoot on sunday the 20th, with room for a few teams on saturday.
I will be offering free entry into the match for the staff. The entire team has to be staff members and all should have experience being ro's at matches prior to the match. All ro's will shoot saturday. We will finish set-up sat morning and then shoot the match. Staff will also be expected to assist with tear down sunday when shooting is over. Food will be available at the clubhouse, but we will not have much time to eat, since we must defeat the zombies before we rest.
any questions please feel free to email me.
thanks
dean

dont be concerned about the time limits, the stages will be designed so that in most cases that will be plenty of time for the teams to fuinish.
the scoring will be done with the time plus system which will be straight time with time added for nonlethal hits on targets and time added for misses, since getting good hits on zombies is very important
All safety rules will be enforced
if a memeber of your team breaks the 180 the team member will be DQ'd for the match. the team may continue and one member will have to fill in for the dq'd member
a AD will fall under the same rules as a broken 180
All guns must be unloaded and flagged excepted when under the direct orders of an RO, pistols can be hammer down in holster.
it will be a cold range for all competitors (no concealed carry or open carry for people participating in the match while they are shooting (this is done to prevent any accidents.))
There will be safe table that you can handle firearms at to clean or repair them, but no ammo can be handled at these tables.
Mags can be loaded and ammo handled anywhere but the safe tables
We will go o ver each stage description before you shoot pay attention and remember to follow the RO's commands.
NO AP AMMO ALLOWED If you are caught using it (we will see the holes in the steel) you and your team will be DQ from the match and you will pay for the steel.) Alll other fmj or hollow point ammo should be fine, if you have any questions contact me ahead of time.
All shot must be 6 or smaller
AS always we want everyone to have a great time, that means lots of shooting, safe stages, and lots of zombies to waste. Please feel free to email me about any questions you have.
thanks
dean

Cas and I have both shot at Topton and they run very good matches. There should be some real good prizes too. For those that don't have a handgun just team up with someone that does. Remember this is PA they don't have our stupid rules.

So who is going to fly the LIF banner and register team LIF?

Actually I expected to see this from you a week or two ago. June? 6 months from now? I may be dead by then.

El Guapo has graced Topton with his presences at the GSSF match. He ate sausage,

I priced a single one once... 3 color on a black shirt was $36 IIRC. It had the Guapo cylinder logo on the back, and a moon clip on the front left chest.  I never looked into having a batch made, so price wise I couldn't say.  I could buy 50 them and just wear them every day of the week.

If you want me to wear a shirt with your logo on it, I'll need a copy of the contract for my lawyer.

You probably noticed 95% of my shirts are black. Most of the rest are navy blue.

Oh yeah...  if we go we'll miss the annual "revolver friendly Fathers Day match", that's the one match a year where they all come gunning for me.

ETA:   And don't forget..  making this match means getting up at the butt crack of dawn and leaving at 4AM.

Man, that sucks.  But Zombie patrol is a duty El Guapo cannot afford to miss.  But it hurts to miss the revolver match though.

I think Angel Eyes has the T-shirt operation under control.

It is going to be a day to remember.  I will bring a piñata to commemorate this momentus occacion.

Yeah...  that pretty much IS all the information. It's on the web in a few places, but it's pretty much that same info.

This is the range it's at, but I don't see any reference to this match. http://www.toptonfga.org/index.html

You need to contact Dean the match director to register.

"email me at
tapsmd@toptonfga.org

"We will be running a 3 man 3 gun team event at Topton. This will be held th e3rd sunday (20th) in June. This will be an event that all 3 shooters may shoot at the same time or they may shoot in a relay style event. 7 stages total . Round count and other info will be posted at a later date. This will be a Zombie style match so not many uspsa style target will be used. There will be only one division offered. Pistols must be iron sighted with no ports and 140mm mag lenght max, shotgun no ports no optics 9 round max in gun no speed loaders, and rifles will be anything goes. No AP or tracers. All safety rules will follow uspsa. I am working on some sponsors and will also do a good cash payout. If you have some to my matches you know the payout is good. The cost will be 60.00 per person/180.00 per team.
If you want to register email me a team name and individuals names. I will email you a confirmation and you can send me a check to hold your spot. no check within 10 days no spot.

This one is not for beginners. Go to the comp area and you will have your other questions answered.
