Put self defense. That's what they put in anyway so they all say that.

Unfortunately NYC, Suffolk and Nassau are some of the backward places where self-defense, absent death threats substantiated by police reports, isn't a valid reason to own a handgun.

Self-Defense, it is a good thing in PA, not taboo

You can just do the front....

what did you put as your reason?
I selected everything except business, because I don't have a business carry.....whatever you decide to mark down, just make sure to mark self defense.

You have been in NY too long
Get rid of the NY mentality
Check off self defense
That;s what all of us did.

Probably because they don't want you to get jammed up by some dumb cop.  I don't think anyone actually requests "target".  Just like you should request "all lawful purposes" on your New Hampshire permit.

The box on the permit is only big enough for one...I'm not sure what they enter into the computer but it will probably say "Self Defense"
